⚽🏏 FROM LONDON TO ADELAIDE! A SPECIAL VISIT TO OUR SPORTS MUSEUM 🇬🇧🇦🇺

We were delighted to welcome Sam, who works in Adelaide and originally comes from London, UK, to The Australian Pavilion Sports Museum! ❤️

As a big soccer fan, Sam enjoyed exploring our collection of sporting memorabilia and discovering the stories behind some of the legendary names in world sport. ⚽🏆

It was wonderful to hear his appreciation for the museum and share our passion for preserving sporting history.

We were honoured to welcome Ian and Trish Tinetti of the historic Tinetti family to The Australian Pavilion Sports Museum in Adelaide!

🌳 With a family heritage spanning more than a century, the Tinetti family has a remarkable connection to English willow growing and cricket bat manufacturing in Victoria.

✨ During their visit, Ian and Trish discovered historic cricket bats in our collection that they believe may have been manufactured by their family’s factory around 80 years ago!

Their incredible story also includes personal friendships and connections with Steve Waugh, the Chappell family and Bill Lawry. 🏏

This is more than cricket memorabilia. It is a story of family, craftsmanship, friendship and Australia's rich cricket heritage.

We were honoured to welcome Ian and Trish Tinetti of the historic Tinetti family to The Australian Pavilion Sports Museum in Adelaide!

🌳 With a family heritage spanning more than a century, the Tinetti family has deep roots in Victorian cricket willow growing and bat manufacturing.

✨ A fascinating discovery! During their visit, Ian and Trish recognised several historic cricket bats in our collection that they believe may have been manufactured by their family’s factory around 80 years ago!

🏏 Their remarkable story also includes personal connections and friendships with Australian cricket legends Steve Waugh, the Chappell family and Bill Lawry.

This visit reminded us that cricket is more than a game. It is family, friendship, craftsmanship and history passed down through generations. ❤️
