✨ Your votes have been counted! ✨ This month's People's Choice Award is: Ken Balmer

👉 Ken’s work is inspired by his search for and appreciation of spirituality in all its forms. Orenda is an Iroquois name for a supernatural force believed to be present in varying degrees, in all persons, creatures and objects – the spiritual driver for human accomplishment.

Ken has been painting for over 45 years, is self-taught, guided by a few mentors and many professionals who have willingly shared their talent and time. Ken has a Ph.D. in geography/planning and has enjoyed an eclectic career as academic, manager, futurist and consultant.

👉 Our People's Choice Award is an ongoing event at A Place for the Arts! Come explore our newest collection and take part by voting for your favourites. At the end of each art installation, we do a draw from your votes for a $20 gift card! This month’s winner is: Warren Mcbride 🥳🙌

🎉 We are excited to announce the August show in our Annex Gallery! 🎉

🌷 Flora, Fauna, Fibres, is the result of a shared vision among five friends brought together by their deep appreciation for nature and natural materials. Working with wool, silk, cotton, and linen as their base, they each create distinctive and expressive art pieces.🌼

The show will run from: Wednesday July 29th - Sunday August 30th. Don't miss out!

✨ I want to share my passion for wildlife and conservation with my audience and educate people through my work. My image tells a story of the animal and also my experience seeing it. I want to bring awareness to the plight of many of our native animals in Canada.

Still wondering where to find us? 🤗🗺️📍A Place for the Arts is located in downtown Bancroft at 23 Bridge St West.

The big blue building with "The Gallery Store" on the front. We share an entrance with , so pop by for a visit and then enjoy a coffee and a tasty treat over nextdoor ☕🥪
