Getting bogged down with this one ,frustrated and not sure.. time to put it away and start afresh… new canvas.. new dynamic. There’s a renewal when you come back to a canvas …. Good to work on a lot of paintings and letting the precious go.

Onrus beach 2 and 1 at the studio today. Working on prepared Fabriano paper. The paper is sized with an gesso base, then I paint with acrylic’s trying to build a firm foundation. I then move to oil paint when I need more touch and detail.
Trying to find a balance between free flowing marks and more deliberate painting .
