✨ A Day of Creativity, Stories & Smiles at the Museum ✨
What a beautiful, joy-filled day we shared at the Richmond Museum! 💛
Our young visitors were treated to a special story time session with Nomzama from the Richmond Library, sparking imagination and a love for reading 📚✨
The fun continued with board games like Pictionary, Scrabble, and chess — building teamwork, strategy, and plenty of laughter ♟️🎲
Our arts & crafts station was buzzing with creativity as the children made heartfelt Mother’s Day cards, each one filled with love and personality 🎨💐
And to top it all off, the kids explored short movies — 🎥🌟
Days like these remind us that the museum is more than a space — it’s a place where creativity, learning, and community come alive.

Today at the Museum, our RoyalTea gathering unfolded into something far deeper than we imagined.

Inspired by the timeless work of Barbara Tyrrell, whose art so beautifully captures the identity, dignity and stories of our people, we found ourselves drawn into a meaningful cultural roundtable—one that reminded us that heritage is not only something we preserve, but something we must actively engage with.

We were honoured to host Ms. Gcina Mhlophe, alongside Nduna Mkhize of Phateni, as voices of wisdom guided a powerful discussion.

At the heart of the conversation was an important and thought-provoking question:
What became of the last Majozi Chief in Ndaleni—and in the absence of traditional leadership since 1984, is it time for the community to consider restoring this role?
This question opened up a rich dialogue around identity, continuity, leadership, and the evolving role of tradition in modern community life. It was a reminder that culture is living, dynamic, and sometimes calls us to reflect deeply on what must be remembered, restored, or reimagined.

Moments like these are why spaces like our Museum matter. They are not just places of history—but places of conversation, connection, and collective reflection.
