Hello everyone, just want to let everyone know that the display will be closed this weekend as I have a really bad virus that's infected me.

After this weekend, the display will be open again every Saturday and Sunday as usual.

Keep exploring the past to understand the future. πŸ¦–

Did you know?

3 Of the models that are on display have official nicknames!

The Cynognathus is named Falkor in reference to the Luck dragon with the same name.

The Carcharodontosaurus is named Sharky in honor of my mentors reconstruction of Carcharodontosaurus with the same name.

And finally, the Megarachne is called Cassandra, or Cass for short.

It's always fun to give your work a little more personality by giving them nicknames. πŸ¦–

It's official, there are 2 new additions to the collection!

Spinosaurus has stomped its way into the museum, along with a life size reconstruction of the largest insect to ever exist!

Next up will be a Rubidgea atrox which is currently in the works. 🦴

A happy belated Women's day to all the women who are in our lives!

To celebrate I want to give a quick explanation of the main girl at the display, Cassandra the Megarachne!

Fun fact: Cassandra was added on Womens day 2025!

Did you know the name Cassandra means "she who entangles men", I decided to name her this as after female spiders are done mating they always eat the male, not to mention they are also bigger! πŸ•·οΈπŸ•ΈοΈ

Even though she's a natural huntress from the Carboniferous period of Argentina, she's been referred to as being my daughter by some of the children that visited the museum. πŸ˜‚

Cassandra is an absolute staple of the museum, and soon she will be getting a flying neighbor. 🐝

What on earth could this be?

The worlds largest insect might be put on display sooner that we thought....

Look at those mandibles!

Notice another animals leg is poking out behind, hopefully he will be complete in a month's time.

Also update on the spinosaurus:

Only thing left to do on it is a few minor touch ups and completing it's base.

Super excited for this new cast of beasties to join the display, and with more planned to come!

Here's a little blurry teaser of the WIP Spinosaurus aegyptiacus model next to the Carcharodontosaurus, it should hopefully not take long to complete him.

The main ones that im working on when it comes to building is a Rubidgea atrox and a life size model of the worlds largest insect to ever exist!

I am happy to announce that the next mini skull replica to be put on display will be that of a Rubidgea atrox, this gorgonopsian was roughly the size of a modern day lion!

It is also worth noting that this guy will still be getting a model, however the spinosaurus needs it's paint job first, and another life size contender has entered the work in progress roster of this year. πŸ‘€
