“Great things often begin in little rooms”

Today, I spent time with Alick, an artist whose work many of you have seen through Paivepo, but whose story you may not know.

Originally from Malawi, Alick now lives in South Africa with his wife and youngest daughter. Two of his children remain in Malawi, and every day he works not only to create beautiful paintings, but also to build a future for his family.

What struck me most was not simply his talent, but his commitment.

The patience behind every brushstroke.
The discipline of showing up every day.
The determination to keep creating, regardless of circumstance.

Behind every painting is a person.
Behind every canvas is a story.

This is Alick.

A father.
A husband.
An artist.

And this is where some truly beautiful work begins.
