🥃 Slàinte mhath! (That's "Cheers!" in Scottish Gaelic.)

Today, World Scotch Wh**ky Day, wh**ky lovers around the globe will be raising a glass to Scotland's finest export.

With a little imagination, this beautiful scene could easily be mistaken for the Scottish Highlands. In reality, it was captured right in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal, where the rolling hills and crisp winter air provide the perfect backdrop for a wee dram.

If you're looking to experience a taste of Scotland without leaving South Africa, join us this Saturday, 1 August, at the Fort Nottingham Highland Gathering.

Enjoy a day filled with Highland traditions, thrilling athletics, the stirring skirl of the pipes, Scottish dancing, medieval combat displays, delicious food, local markets, family entertainment… and, of course, the opportunity to sample a fine selection of Scotch wh**ky.

So today, wherever you are, raise a glass and say "Slàinte mhath!" (pronounced slahn-ge-vah) – to good health, great company and the spirit of Scotland.
