MONTAGU HERB FESTIVAL | YOU’RE INVITED | 28-30 AUGUST ‘26

While we've been a little quiet on social media, plenty has been happening behind the scenes as plans for this year's Montagu Herb Festival take root.

Our programme is entering its final stages, and there's something for everyone.

INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM DAY | 18 MAY 2026

This Monday, the International Council of Museums (ICOM) celebrates International Museum Day under the 2026 theme: “Museums Uniting a Divided World.”
This theme highlights the role museums play as spaces of connection, dialogue, and understanding.

🎟️ To mark the occasion, the Montagu Museum is offering free entry on Monday, 18 May 2026.

The museum will also be a hive of activity as we extend this spirit of connection into the wider community through our educational programmes.

Monday - Wednesday, 18-20 May | We’ll be welcoming school groups to explore our exhibitions and discover how museums help connect us to our shared heritage. 𐦂𖨆𐀪𖠋

🎤 Thursday, 21 May | We’ll be hosting our Annual Speech Competition, where high school learners from local schools come together to share their ideas and voices.
