📚WHY SHOULD YOU COME TO THIS BOOK LAUNCH?
Because stories shape who we are.
Kuya Kusonakala is a collection of short stories that explores family, community, social realities, resilience, humour, pain, and healing. These are stories rooted in our experiences, our conversations, and the world we live in.
This launch is also a celebration of the isiXhosa language - one of South Africa's richest cultural treasures. Languages survive and flourish when they are spoken, written, read, and shared. By supporting isiXhosa literature, we affirm that our languages belong not only in our homes and classrooms, but also in books, public spaces, and intellectual discourse.
Whether you are a lover of literature, a supporter of African languages, an educator, a student, or simply someone who enjoys a good story, you are warmly invited to join us.
Come celebrate storytelling. Come celebrate language. Come celebrate community.
