Cape Town Museum of Childhood The Cape Town Museum of Childhood, celebrating and exploring childhood. The Museum houses a national collection of childhood-related exhibitions.

The Cape Town Museum of Childhood is an institution for the heritage, documentation, memory, oral history, research, and interpretation of childhood. The Museumโ€™s aim is to capture the heritage of childhood and the role that children play in society. This will be done through documenting, studying and interpreting childhood by creating an interactive space that allows an opportunity for children, families and communities to celebrate childhood, to gain insights into childhood and to learn about childhood heritage. The Museum is located at 3 Milner Road, Rondebosch, Cape Town.

Today marks our final Real to Reel Stories workshop!

Facilitated by Tayla McGregor ,todayโ€™s session focused on video editing, giving our participants the opportunity to explore their editing apps, get creative, and bring their stories to life through video.

We truly appreciate your presence, your support, and your beautiful energy. The turnout was more than we could have ever imagined, and it made our ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ ๐š๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฎ๐ฆ celebration so special.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Heritage Day screening of Action Kommandant, produced by Nadine Cloete. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of this powerful documentary, and what a fitting time to revisit it. It was an informative and moving session with thoughtful, engaging dialogue. We are grateful to all who took the time to be part of this important screening.

Last week we hosted our second Pocket Stories: Real to Reel workshop! This week our young filmmakers explored the art of visual storytelling - learning how to use different shots and filming techniques to bring their stories to life. Itโ€™s been wonderful to see their creativity and confidence grow each week. Thank you to the City of Cape Town for sponsoring this project and for making these opportunities possible.
