Becky Fos Artistry Welcome to the colorful world of Becky Fos – self-taught impasto artist making the world a more color Becky Fos’ works are simply signed B. Fos.
(404)

A New Orleans resident, by way of Austin, Becky Fos is a bit of a Renaissance Woman. An everyday mom, Fos is a popular artist in the Big Easy with a streak of burning creative rivaled only by her daily goal of living an active lifestyle. Through her constant healthy pursuits she has been nominated as a Brigade Ambassador for Evamor Alkaline Water as well as a Store Ambassador for Lululemon Athletica New Orleans. Her impasto technique – applying wet, undiluted oil paint with her palette knife – is unapologetically bold and energetic, using color as her forefront. Over the years, her knife strokes have become heavier and thicker, with some of the oil paint being raised half an inch off the canvas. Her art can be found at her gallery space at Gallery B. Fos on famous Magazine Street. When she is not painting in the studio or being mom to her son, Jude, Becky can be found on the levee preparing for a marathon, at the yoga studio meditating, or killing a session of CrossFit or Krav Maga.

“Everyday starts with a workout for me. It clears my mind and allows me to unleash the creative energy I need for whatever painting I may be working on at the time,” says Fos. “It also gives me the energy to chase Jude around when I’m not painting!”

Artist Statement: “For me, painting is the most authentic way to express myself. I am not good with words, so I just want to keep this short. I feel enormously blessed to live in New Orleans. And I’m inspired by everything . I gather boundless inspiration from all corners of this wild, beautiful, and colorful city. New Orleans is my muse. I try to transform the spirit of my inspirations into oil paintings with my trusty palette knife. I choose the colors on my palette, but in the end the colors really choose me.”

💕 Serving up SMILES for your Monday motivation! 💕

Remember my little warrior friend, Charlotte, aka “Coco”? After hearing her story along the parade route last year, I knew I had to bring extra joy to her Mardi Gras by painting her parade ladder! 🎨💜💚💛

In 2025, she was diagnosed with Pre B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Coco has endured more than most adults ever will.

And here’s the HAPPY update! 💕

Coco made it through the most intense phase of treatment and is now in long-term maintenance! She’s back in school, crushing physical therapy, and handling treatments like the little ROCKSTAR she is! 💪

Here she is standing in front of the mural I painted at the entrance of Ochsner’s Pediatric Cancer Treatment Unit. Look closely—you’ll find COCO hidden in the bubbles! 🫧🎨

In less than a year, this little warrior will be ringing THAT BELL! 🔔 I can’t wait to cheer her on!

Coco’s story is just ONE of so many. If a little color, creativity, and kindness can bring even one smile, it’s worth every second. 💕

And there’s more to come… We’re planning another visit with stickers, coloring sheets, and colorful surprises for these incredible kids!

Stay tuned… we’re just getting started! 🎨💕🎗️

Huge thanks to Pro Dreams for gifting me this autographed Joe Horn photo!

Hopefully he still has that flip phone, because Ms. Gayle Benson needs to be calling him for a comeback! The Saints need all the help they can get!

On a side note, I’ll be waiting for Mr. Horn’s call when he’s ready for that B. Fos original 📱⚜️

All aboard! Next stop… Washington Mardi Gras! ⚜️🎭

I had so much fun creating this commissioned artwork for King Pete November and Queen Peighton Ashley!

Knowing Pete is a history buff, what better way to get the royal duo, family, and friends to celebrate Mardi Gras in D.C. than aboard a New Orleans-built Higgins boat?! One of Louisiana’s greatest contributions to WWII, which helped change the course of history. A little nod to our past, present, and future…

And of course, Mrs. Gayle Benson had to come aboard with Mr. Tom’s famous Benson Boogie umbrella! ☂️

Washington Mardi Gras began as a way to bring Carnival to Louisiana’s politicians who couldn’t make it home to celebrate!

Prints of this piece will be gifted to members of the Mystick Krewe of Louisianians as a special keepsake!

What do y’all think?!

The weather may be confused, but my artwork knows it’s fall!! 🤪 🖤💜🍂 We're still waiting on the temperatures to change, but the colors are here!

October in New Orleans has its own kind of mood... a little spooky, a little romantic, haunting beauty and that unmistakable New Orleans soul... old tombstones, iron gates, and just enough spooky to feel like October.

The city already had the color palette. I just painted it.

LONG LIVE 🇺🇸

This special commissioned painting was created for one of my dear collectors, a true American hero “baddie” who served alongside U.S. Special Operations Forces in Afghanistan.

This piece honors the extraordinary women of the Cultural Support Team program, especially 1LT Ashley White and CPT Jennifer Moreno, who made the ultimate sacrifice.

My collector wishes to remain anonymous but beautifully shared the meaning behind this painting. Swipe to read her heartfelt words.

And for all you Swifties, the title was inspired by Taylor Swift’s Long Live. If you haven’t heard it, give it a listen! ❤️

Long live the women. Long live the sisterhood. Long live the legacy. 🇺🇸

🚀 Did you know it’s World Space Week!?

Who’s got a little extra SPACE in their home for some art? 👀😆

Since it's Thursday, I'm throwing it back to Rocketman, because sometimes you just have to ignore gravity and go for it.

So here's a little reminder to keep looking up. Keep dreaming. And whatever you do, don’t let gravity keep you down. 🚀✨
