𝐊𝐡𝐨̂̉𝐧𝐠 Đ𝐨̂̃ 𝐃𝐮𝐲 - 𝐇𝐨𝐚̣ 𝐬𝐢̃ 𝐤𝐞̂̉ 𝐤𝐲́ 𝐮̛́𝐜 𝐛𝐚̆̀𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚̀𝐮 𝐬𝐚̆́𝐜
Trong hội họa Khổng Đỗ Duy, những điều thuộc về quá khứ không hiện lên như những ký ức đã nằm yên, mà được đánh thức bằng một ngôn ngữ trẻ trung, phóng khoáng và giàu năng lượng.
Lấy cảm hứng từ ký ức, văn hóa và những giá trị di sản Việt Nam, anh đưa vào tranh những hình ảnh gợi nhắc về kiến trúc cổ, làng quê, trang phục và những không gian thân thuộc của một thời đã qua. Trên nền sơn dầu và acrylic, những câu chuyện ấy được kể lại bằng bảng màu rực rỡ nhưng vẫn mang đậm hơi thở truyền thống.
Đó có thể là sắc hồng điều, màu xác pháo, nâu sòng, cánh gián hay sắc đen sâu của sơn then. Những gam màu vốn quen thuộc trong đời sống và mỹ thuật truyền thống Việt Nam khi đi qua góc nhìn của Khổng Đỗ Duy lại trở nên tươi mới, giàu sức sống và mang một cá tính rất riêng.
Với anh, màu sắc không chỉ để tạo nên hình hài cho bức tranh. Mỗi mảng màu giống như một mảnh ký ức được tìm lại, sắp đặt và kể lại theo cảm nhận của người nghệ sĩ ở hiện tại.
Có lẽ điều thú vị trong hội họa Khổng Đỗ Duy nằm ở chính cuộc đối thoại ấy: giữa những gì đã cũ và cái nhìn của một thế hệ mới. Di sản không chỉ được lưu giữ bằng cách nhắc lại quá khứ, mà còn có thể tiếp tục sống, thay đổi và tìm thấy một diện mạo mới trong nghệ thuật đương đại.

In Khổng Đỗ Duy’s paintings, the past does not appear as something quietly preserved in memory. Instead, it is awakened through a youthful, uninhibited, and vibrant visual language.
Drawing inspiration from memory, Vietnamese culture, and the country’s rich heritage, he brings into his paintings echoes of traditional architecture, rural landscapes, clothing, and familiar scenes from a bygone era. Working in oil and acrylic, these stories are retold through vivid colors that nevertheless remain deeply rooted in the spirit of Vietnamese tradition.
There are shades of hồng điều vermilion, the warm red of traditional firecrackers, earthy nâu sòng, deep lacquer brown, and the profound black of sơn then. Colors long familiar in Vietnamese life and traditional art are transformed through Khổng Đỗ Duy’s perspective — becoming fresher, more vibrant, and unmistakably his own.
For him, color is not simply a means of giving form to a painting. Each field of color resembles a fragment of memory rediscovered, rearranged, and retold through the artist’s sensibility in the present.
Perhaps the most intriguing quality of Khổng Đỗ Duy’s art lies in this very dialogue: between what belongs to the past and the perspective of a new generation. Heritage need not be preserved merely by looking backwards. It can continue to live, evolve, and discover a new expression through contemporary art.
