"Flawed Beauty" began as a different idea, but while I was preparing the surface, sandpaper scratched and marked the burnt sienna layer. Instead of covering it up, I chose to keep it... because those marks felt true.

I think that’s where the heart of this piece lives: in the imperfect, the altered, the unplanned. Sometimes the thing that interrupts the design ends up saying the most.
