Our museum exists to preserve and share the stories, sacrifices, and history of the men and women who have served our country. As a nonprofit organization, we depend on the generosity of our community to help keep those stories alive for future generations.

Every donation, no matter the amount, helps support the continued operation of the museum and our mission to honor our veterans.

🇺🇸 Celebrating 250 Years of American Independence 🇺🇸

This Independence Day marks a historic milestone—250 years since our nation declared its independence in 1776.

As we celebrate America's birthday, we also pause to honor the generations of Veterans and Active Duty Service Members who have defended the freedoms we enjoy today. From the Revolutionary War to today's Armed Forces, countless men and women have answered the call to serve with courage, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to our nation.

Their stories are America's story.

This Fourth of July, may we celebrate with grateful hearts, remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, honor every Veteran who has served, and thank the Active Duty Service Members who continue to protect our nation's freedoms each and every day.

From all of us at the Yukon Veterans Museum, we wish you and your family a safe, meaningful, and Happy Independence Day as we celebrate 250 years of freedom, service, and the enduring American spirit.

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

Today, on the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, we pause to honor the courage, sacrifice, and determination of the Allied forces who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944.

Their actions changed the course of history and helped secure the freedoms we enjoy today. Many paid the ultimate price, while others carried the memories of that day for the rest of their lives.

As we remember the heroes of D-Day, we also reaffirm our commitment to preserving their stories and ensuring future generations understand the sacrifices made in defense of freedom.

We honor their service.
We remember their sacrifice.
We will never forget.

Please help us pass the word!

Veterans, how will your story be remembered?
Every veteran has a story. A story of service, sacrifice, duty, friendship, courage, and love of country. Those stories deserve to live on long after we are gone.
This weekend, Yukon American Legion Post 160 is partnering with Senator James Lankford's office to record veterans' stories as part of the Veterans History Project, which will be permanently preserved in the Library of Congress.
Many veterans never talk about their service. Some believe their experiences were "nothing special." But to your children, grandchildren, and future generations, your story is priceless. They deserve to hear your voice, learn about your experiences, and understand the sacrifices that helped protect our nation.
Families, please encourage the veterans in your lives to participate. One day, these recordings may become a treasured family legacy—a chance for future generations to hear firsthand what their veteran lived through, accomplished, and sacrificed.
No veteran's story is too small. Whether you served during wartime or peacetime, at home or overseas, your service matters. Your story matters.
Don't let your history be lost to time.
Leave a legacy. Preserve your story. Honor your service.
Contact Senator Lankford's office today to schedule your recording session and ensure your story becomes part of America's permanent historical record.
Your service helped shape our nation's history. Now help preserve it.

This Memorial Day weekend, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

At the Yukon Veterans Museum, we believe their stories, sacrifices, and legacy should never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends this weekend, may we also take a moment to reflect with gratitude on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything to protect them.

We honor the fallen.
We remember their sacrifice.
And we remain forever grateful.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.
