Are you interested in learning how to make glass beads? I will be teaching jewelry classes soon in Yreka. My studio is almost complete and I will be ready to start teaching in my new space.

This class is intended for the curious, "I think I want to try it" artist. Learn how to make your own Handmade Glass Beads. Following a brief introduction of equipment and safety information, Christina will teach you how to make basic wound beads by melting glass in the torch flame and wrapping it onto a stainless steel mandrel. Hand-outs are given with more information if you are interested in setting up your own studio at home.
Once you complete this class successfully, you are welcome to come back for bench time to practice your skills on your own or one on one time with me.
Advanced classes available too.

Bead projects may include:
- basic round bead
- other bead shapes; bicone, cone, tube, triangel, heart, etc.
- dots, stringer, twisties, cane,
- silver foil, pixie dust, enamels, dichroic glass
- encasing, bubbles, presses, rollers

Every class in different and is catered toward every student's skill level, design tastes, and pace. We have many design techniques to chose from and each class is slightly different as we cater to your preferences. Students are encouraged to bring inspiration and request what they want to learn.

Christina has been lampworking for over 21 years and teaching for over 18 years.

A great way to make a cheap light box for your glass. You can also get a white translucent plastic box. I suggest something bigger if you are photographing entire necklaces or jewelry sets.

I've been pining to get back into my creative space after moving and a few injuries. At the end of September I'm going to the local hot air balloon festival. I've never been in a balloon, but have always thought it would be fun.

So I've made these cute little hot air balloon peices for our local shop.

I'll be getting back on the torch soon, my shoulder is just about healed.
