The mission of the Youngsville Museum of History is to restore the oldest church building in Youngsville to be used as a community center to promote interest in our heritage, celebrate the arts, offer educational programs, and preserve our history. Our goal is to preserve the old Christian Church building and the history of our community. The building is in need of floor repairs and upgrades to th

e electrical wiring and restroom facilities. We also need to build cabinets and shelving to display artifacts, pictures, and other memorabilia. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all donations are tax deductible. Monetary donations should be made payable to the Youngsville Woman's Club, Inc. The museum hosted the Piedmont Poetry Guild this afternoon. What a great afternoon. We have some great writers in Franklin County. Kim Beal wrote about our mannequins dressed in that were made for the town’s 100 year celebration.

The Youngsville
Museum will be open this Saturday from 10am until Noon.

On Sunday, February 15th at 2 pm, we will be hosting the Piedmont Poetry Guild. Poets will be reading their poetry. Some are published and others are working on getting published. Come and meet the poets. We have some talented authors in Franklin County and surrounding areas.

The museum will be open on Saturday, December 6th from 1:30-3:30pm. The Youngsville Christmas parade will be that same day at 10:00am. Roads will be closed off starting at 9:30 am. Santa will be at the museum from 1:30-3:30pm. Bring your children of all ages to see Santa and have their picture taken with him. Adults can talk to Santa as well.

A great celebration of life by the 1966-1970 basketball teams for Coach Larry Lindsay at the Youngsville Museum. E.J. Wilder and team did a fantastic job planning and executing this event. The coaches daughter and son were blessed and touched. We were honored to host this event.

The museum will be open this Saturday celebrating the life of Coach Lindsay. The Youngsville basketball teams from 1966-1970 are holding this event honoring a great coach, leader and mentor to so many.

The museum will be open at 1:30 pm and the event starts at 2 pm. We ask that the paved parking lot be reserved for those who are handicapped. Parking is available on W Franklin Street on both sides. Please do not block driveways.

The community is invited to attend. The children of coach Lindsay will be attending. Those that know them may want to come and honor them with your presence.
