The York College Studios is on the second floor of Marketview Arts and is composed of three sections:

1. YCP Student Studios:
Individual studio spaces for students with a common lounge area.

2. The York College Galleries at Marketview:
A multipurpose space that functions as a gallery for First Friday exhibitions and as a drawing studio for Monday night open figure drawing sessions and special wo

rkshops.

3. York College Letterpress Print Shop:
A studio located in the back of the building that houses metal and wood type and printing presses where students learn the craft of printing handset lettering and printing demonstrations are given on First Fridays. Additionally, York College has a resident artist, the annually awarded Appell Fellow, who lives on site in a Marketview apartment and maintains an active presence in the York College Studios. The Appell Fellow also organizes weekly figure drawing sessions, which are open to the public.
