WAA member Karen Schoen hosted a successful “Dry Flower Craft” class where she taught students how to use dried flowers and leaves to create decorative candle holders and festive plastic pumpkins! “Learn to Crochet” Hosted by Pat Blanco

Sundays October 25th, November 1st and 8th
10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
at Wurtsboro Art Alliance gallery
(73 Sullivan Street, Wurtsboro, NY)

Pat will teach you basic crochet stitches, share internet sites that visually assist you, and practice with other students during this three week program. Supplies will be provided or bring your own! For ages 12 and older. Maximum 12 students.

★ REGISTER TODAY -- Water Media Classes at Wurtsboro Art Alliance - Hosted by Roberta Rosenthal

Thursdays, October 8, 15 & 22
12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Bring whatever art materials you want to work with. Only water based paints, pigments, pencils. Use watercolor paper (hot press for detailed flowers or cold press for landscapes) or gesso board or canvas for acrylic gouache. Small 8”x10” or 9”x12”, up to 12"x16”.

Floral, landscape, birds or animal and abstract subject matter. Please bring any reference materials photo or live plants.
Fee is $130 for WAA members and $150 for non-members, for three classes consecutive sessions. Individual classes are $50. Cash or check made out to “Wurtsboro Art Alliance”. (“Rosenthal” in the memo.)

Meet the artist and enjoy light refreshments.

Diane intuitively connects with the paper she uses to create her whimsical, heart-warming collages. In addition to collecting paper from a myriad of sources, she uses a variety of media like ink, acrylic paint, pastel, watercolor, stencil, and acrylic pen to create new, unique papers representative of what she sees within the depths of her mind as she develops her inner visions. Diane aims to enchant and inspire the imagination with the stories she brings to life through paper and paint. Included in the show are her one-of-a-kind round collage magnets, each one with its own message. Other small art pieces will also be available throughout the month.

🍁Join WAA member Patricia Blanco on Sunday, October 11th for “Fall Wreath Making” from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Come enjoy a wreath workshop with Pat, making a deco mesh Fall wreath! Use deco mesh, ribbon and embellishments to create a bright, colorful wreath for your front door or to give away as a gift. The holidays will be coming soon, get ready! The class is intended for adults with a maximum of twelve students. All supplies are provided.

🌼 “Dry Flower Craft” Hosted by Karen Schoen

October 3rd, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. at Wurtsboro Art Alliance gallery (73 Sullivan Street, Wurtsboro, NY)

WAA member Karen Schoen will be hosting a Dry Flower Crafts class! Using dry flowers, learn to create candle holders from empty jars, 5”x7” framed compositions or sun catchers! Students are welcome to bring 8” plastic pumpkins, too. The class is intended for ages 12 and up with a maximum of six students.

Donations are appreciated.
