October means field trip season here at the Buckeye Agricultural Museum!!

We are passionate about sharing the history of Wayne County through experiential learning opportunities.

This was a wonderful fourth year of providing this opportunity to local 4th grade students. We are grateful to the school districts who participate as well as the volunteers who make the field trip possible!

We stepped back into the year 1890 this morning at the Buckeye Agricultural Museum!!

This week is a personal favorite around the museum as we welcome Wayne County 4th Grade students and educators to our annual field trip week.

This week was filled with field trip fun here at the Buckeye Agricultural Museum!

We were joined by nearly 200 Wayne County 4th graders to spend a day in the year 1890! Our days were spent learning what life would look like for a 4th grader on the farm at that time.

School staff were provided with materials to utilize in the classroom prior to their visit to the museum. Students put their knowledge to use as they rotated through six different stations. In these stations, students participated in using a two-man saw, learning how to milk a cow, a visit the the general store, planting corn by hand, and even a scavenger hunt for various tools found around the museum.

Join us at the Buckeye Agricultural Museum this weekend during the 2023 Farm Tour!

We will be open Saturday October 7th and Sunday October 8th 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
