Trying a new event this year, a great fit for me, the "Hummingbird Market" on historic Sixth St. in Georgetown, Colorado. I will be selling and signing Mountain Birds books there, on Friday September 4 from 10 AM-3 PM.

Georgetown's Hummingbird Market on historic Sixth Street takes place when four species of hummingbirds are in Colorado. The market will be a mosaic of Colorado-proud food artisans and exceptional one-of-a-kind handcrafted items.

8:30-9:45 AM- Bird Walk. Meet at the Elk Meadows Trailhead. Learn how to identify local birds by sight and sound, while also learning about the plants and trees where birds live.
10:00-11:00 AM- Audiovisual Bird Program. Meet at Visitor Center. Learn to identify common breeding birds of the park by sight and sound.

The OCC Craft Fair is hosted at the Old Colorado City Historical Society & History Center, which resides next to the Bancroft Park Farmer's Market, and a block away from main street Old Colorado City.

Ready to sell some mountain birds books at the Royal Gorge farmers market in Canyon City, at the Gateway Depot and Plaza from 9 AM to 1 PM. Thankfully, there are lots of large shade trees here with a forecast high today of 101°!

Also, later today, I’ll be doing a free bird program at the local local public library at 2:30 PM.
