Woodbury 250th America Celebration - The Imperial Brass Band from Westfield, New Jersey will present a concert at the Nonnewaug High School Auditorium in Woodbury, Connecticut on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 3 p.m. The concert is part of the Woodbury 250th America Celebration and will honor the composer Leroy Anderson who lived in Woodbury from 1949 to 1975.

The program titled “Celebration in Brass” will include music by Leroy Anderson, James Curnow, L. J. Ferdinand Hérold, Ray Steadman-Allen, Martin Cordner and John Williams. The 30-member Imperial Brass is conducted by Ronald Waiksnoris.

The concert is underwritten by the Leroy Anderson Foundation with additional support from the Town of Woodbury. Admission is free.

Much praise for the Deming String Quartet's performances of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto and the Borodin String Quartet No.2 was given by over 150 people who attended this afternoon's concert at the Leroy Anderson House. Many thanks to the Candlewood Brass Quintet for an excellent and varied program of music at the Leroy Anderson House on Sunday August 24, 2025. Thanks also to our volunteers who welcomed guests and gave tours of the house. Thanks to the many Friends of the Leroy Anderson Foundation whose donations support our programs. Over 120 people enjoyed the beautiful afternoon of music.
