The Fairfield County Brass Quintet of Westport, Connecticut will present an outdoor concert on Saturday, September 12, at 3 p.m. at the Leroy Anderson House at 33 Grassy Hill Road in Woodbury.
The program includes a variety of classical, ragtime and jazz works by J. Hubert Blake, William Byrd, John Cheetham, Léo Delibes, Robert Nagel, Lew Pollack, James M. Stephenson, Tom Turpin and Leroy Anderson.
The Fairfield County Brass Quintet was formed by musicians of the Westport Community Band in late 2021. Members of the brass quintet are Tom Zoubek, trumpet, Mike Strange, trumpet, Tom Jordan, horn, Will Munro, trombone, and Marcia Chithelen, tuba.
The Leroy Anderson House, a historic house museum on the National Register of Historic Places, is located at 33 Grassy Hill Road. Admission is free. Reservations are required. Bring a folding chair.
