Earlier this month the adult leaders of the Royal Rangers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assembly_of_God_youth_organizations) did a mission project prior to holding their “Frontier Camping Fellowship” event at Camp Dubois. The results are amazing!

Camp DuBois May Rendevous

We are again doing a timeline event. Any group or individual from 1600 to 1890. We are opening up the time frame so more people can enjoy this location.

For anyone who has not been to Camp DuBois, it is a replica of Lewis & Clark’s winter camp. There is the stockade with 5 cabins (8 bunks each) and the captain’s cabin. There is green space surrounding the stockade for camping, demonstrators, & vendors. There is a shooting range down by the lake.

Camp DuBois May Rendevous will be open to the public from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and from 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday.
There will be demonstrations of various crafts, items for sale, bread ovens, and touring of the campsites and stockade area. We hope to have both a black powder shoot (Sat) and a bow shoot (Sun). Time flexible.

If you're interested in the Middle Ages, the Society for Creative Anachronisms is using the camp this weekend. They tell me that visitors are welcome to come out and have a look.
