Giving Tuesday is here and we are excited to highlight not only ourselves, but our sister program- Wiscasset Wormfest.
We are two community forward programs based here in Wiscasset, Maine.

Wiscasset Wormfest brings our community together while preserving our unique heritage and history. Wormfest pulls together a day focused on being present and part of the community. With a long list of free to the community things such as: carnival games with prizes, music, street entertainment, touch tanks, meals for kids 18 and under, and a history museum. We also give a platform for organizations and businesses alike to highlight themselves in our beautiful little town. A forever expanding history museum on the Marine Worm Digging industry is the heart of all pf this. As a volunteer-based organization we feel giving back is important and that is why we give WMHS seniors with the top volunteer hours scholarship-awards every year. It takes a village to celebrate a village!

Wiscasset Museum in the Streets brings our local history alive with 32 panels around the Wiscasset Village. This program allows history accessibility to all! We are proud to see school groups, rec programs, locals and tourist alike using our paper maps to navigate this rich historical journey. Your donation will help us replace panels, ongoing printing of our maps and continued growth of our programming.

Trivia for a good cause?! You'll find us there!

Join the Wiscasset's Museum in the Streets team for their Wiscasset Community Center's non-profit trivia night!
Join us as we raise money to replace several of our panels around town, here in Wiscasset. Replacing these panels is very important to us, because as a committee we feel that our towns history should be accessible to all!

Friday, October 24th
Concessions start at 5:30pm
Trivia kicks off at 6:30pm
Food available for purchase! We will have pulled pork, mac and cheese, desserts and more!
Cash bar through Back River Bistro

$5 per player.
Teams no bigger than 8 people
Winning team gets half of the trivia pot!

One of our sister programs- Wiscasset Homes On Tour needs volunteers! Follow the link below to volunteer or find the link in the comments to buy tickets to take the tour!

We still need docent volunteers for Homes on Tour Oct 18th. It is so much fun and your shift is only for 2.5 hours, then you get to see all the other houses for free if you want! And who doesn’t want to see inside some of these historic gems. Come meet new people, get involved with your community, and really help a great cause. All funds go to the Wiscasset Creative Alliance to be used for our Funds for Good grant. Please sign up!
