Our Pumpkin Patch Express is rolling at the museum with all the fun on Saturday, October 24th, and Saturday, October 31st.

We’ve opened up a few more seats on both dates, so if you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, head over to our website to grab yours.

Happy Thursday and Y’all Aboard from The South Carolina Railroad Museum!

Our display trains are closed through November. They are receiving some much needed painting that we are very excited about!

Our Pumpkin Patch Express will run on Saturday, October 24th and Saturday, October 31st.

Our Santa’s North Pole Express will run on Saturdays - December 5th, 12th, and 19th.

Our Twilight Santa Trains will run on Friday and Saturday, December 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, and 19th.

As a reminder, our display trains are getting an upgrade! They’ll be closed starting this week and remain closed through Thanksgiving week.

If you’ve visited the museum recently, you have seen that we have been working to get our train cars painted.

We are so proud of how beautiful the ones with fresh paint look and we appreciate the incredible crew that has done all the work!

We are so excited to announce that our display trains are going to be painted soon.

This morning, some of our volunteers moved our display caboose (which is not being painted this round) out of the way as we begin getting things ready for painting.

So be aware that our display caboose will not be available again until after Thanksgiving.

We plan to close our display cars to the public beginning on Wednesday, October 14th, 2026 and they will remain closed through Thanksgiving.

We will keep you updated if any dates/plans should change.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we hope you’ll be as excited as we are to get our display trains looking beautiful!

⚠️Last minute opportunity!!!⚠️

Do you have plans for tomorrow - Saturday, October 10th?

If not, we can help with that. 🎟️🎟️

We have had a cancellation for our Special Lasagna Dinner Train, this Saturday, October 10th.

We have two tickets available at $55 per ticket.

The train will depart at 6:00 PM from the museum.

You’ll enjoy a train ride on our covered, open-air car, a stop halfway through the ride for an amazing lasagna dinner catered by the incredible folks at Peace on Earth Cafe (meat lasagna, salad, dessert, tea/lemonade/water) - dinner will be at the historic granite quarry office turned into our multi-purpose banquet hall/event space - and then after dinner, you’ll travel back to the museum.

To secure these two tickets you’ll need to call the office at 803-635-9893. The first person to do so can purchase the tickets.

We’ll be here until 4 PM today……and we’ll be back in the office at 10 AM on Saturday morning.

Once the tickets are taken we’ll post an update.
