We’re open here at the museum Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

There is no cost to come out for a visit. You can tour our artifact gallery and our stationary display trains - including a caboose, a 1911 executive travel car, a postal car, and a baggage car. You can also see our retired steam engine, #44.

We do have a gift shop on site with all sorts of train and museum related items.

While we do not have train rides daily, we do have scheduled train rides throughout the year, mostly on select Saturdays. You can check out our website for more info about all our rides throughout the year and purchase tickets for those.

Have you joined us for one of our BBQ Dinner Trains?

If you haven’t, you’re missing out!

⭐️🤩 It’s a great date night adventure that’s a little different than the norm…… 😉❤️

We have one tomorrow evening, but it’s all sold out. Tickets for these events typically go quickly……so book your tickets now and make plans to join us.

We have them scheduled now through September.

The event includes a narrated train ride through the beautiful countryside of Fairfield County…..you’ll learn about South Carolina railroading history and the history of the museum and our trains.

Halfway through the ten-mile round trip you’ll disembark and enjoy your meal inside our event space. The meal is catered by the famous Little Pigs BBQ of Columbia and includes pulled pork BBQ, three delicious sauce options, fried chicken, green beans, macaroni & cheese, coleslaw, rolls, banana pudding, and tea, lemonade, or water.

After the meal you’ll travel back to the museum and enjoy the South Carolina evening…….we catch some gorgeous sunsets. 😉
