People left Bohemia and Moravia for many reasons. They were searching for a better life or wanted to get free land. Some wanted to escape military service, their parents, or even their spouses.

We usually do not find the reasons in parish books. However, we can find notes about people who left for America. For example, such notes are in the books of the Červená parish in South Bohemia.
