Daniels Gallery on the campus of Cape Fear Community College serves as an educational resource for students, faculty, and the community through the presentation of work by prominent regional and national artists. It is the mission of the gallery to expand student awareness of artistic trends, motivations, and techniques, through direct interaction with artwork and artists in the form of exhibition

s, lectures, and related events. The gallery schedules 8 to 10 exhibitions annually including one juried student show and one faculty exhibition. In addition to showcasing artwork, the gallery serves as a hands-on classroom for teaching curatorial and gallery management practices.

Just a few of the incredible works from New Hanover and Pender County public high school students on display as part of In the Making. As this show comes to a close in the next couple of days, we are still in awe of the skill and talent of our local students!

We're excited to announce In the Making: A High School Art Exhibition. Featuring the work of students from New Hanover and Pender County public high schools, this exhibition highlights the growing talent that emerges when young minds learn through making.

This exhibition celebrates the vital role of arts education in fostering critical thinking, persistence, and creative inquiry, while recognizing the passion and determination of students who continue to push the boundaries of their abilities and imagination.

Be sure to mark your calendars! This exhibition opens to the public June 23rd with a Fourth Friday Gallery reception from 6-9pm, Friday, June 26th!
