On April 11th, the museum will open its doors to members of the Early American Industries Association. We will have hands on demonstrations of the tools and materials used in traditional tinsmithing.

Created in 2016, the museum exhibits tinsmithing tools from the 19th c when industrial machines for working tin became common in tin shops across the globe. All of the tools and machines in the museum are available for use by visitors to give a true hands-on approach to learning about the trades of our past. The museum is not affiliated with Colonial Williamsburg as it interprets 19th c tinsmithing, whereas Colonial Williamsburg uses only tools available in the 18th c.

Starting at 10 am, the museum staff will tour the museum and discuss the many aspects of tin work. After the tour and introductions, members will be able to do some hands on work using the museum's resources. A box lunch will be available, with the $20 registration fee
