A big 'Thank You!' to Dr. Bill Lewis, Joe Butkiewicz, the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, the Kingston Historical Society, the Municipality of Kingston, the Wyoming Valley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Frances Dorrance Chapter - PA Archaeological Society, and the more than 50 of you who attended today's Historic Marker dedication for Frances Dorrance, first LCHS Executive Director and PA's Matriarch of Archeology!

We hope you plan on joining us, the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, the Kingston Historical Society, the Municipality of Kingston, the Wyoming Valley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Frances Dorrance Chapter of the Pennsylvania Archaeological Society tomorrow at 11am at East Dorrance Street and Ford Avenue in Kingston for a dedication of a Pennsylvania state historical marker honoring Frances Dorrance, our first Executive Director! The event will last roughly an hour and is free to all!

We hope to see you all this Wednesday, for the next installment of the LCHS’s popular “Dining with Friends” program at Jonathan’s, 31 Lakeside Drive, Harveys Lake, PA 18618!

The restaurant will generously donate a portion of its proceeds that night to the Historical Society. LCHS members and the general public are encouraged to “dine with friends” at Jonathan’s that night.
