ENTRY DEADLINE TODAY NOVEMBER 1 - WINTERTIME - INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION -

When temperatures drop and our outdoor surroundings become more silent, still and dormant we look to our interior spaces to find warmth and comfort. The leaves fall and the ground becomes frost covered, birds search for berries in the branches, the earth takes a rest. Photographing this winter splendor is for the adventurous at heart and the wonder of it all is worth facing the cold to get those great shots. Images of the bare trees, the snow covered mountains and plains, details of the landscape and warm interior spaces are what will make up the photographs in the Wintertime exhibition. Our attention is drawn indoors as we seek warmth around the hearth with a steaming coffee and a sturdy woolen blanket. All of the details of the feeling of the season are the types of photographs that we are interested in for this upcoming exhibition.

Entries will be considered based upon individual images submitted by each artist. A brief artist statement is optional.

To enter: Submit .jpeg images to the gallery via email, and follow the online instructions found on our website at https://www.mwcponline.com/wintertime-entry.html. Please note that there is not an image upload form and simply email .jpegs to the gallery email address.

AWARD RECIPIENT ANNOUNCED - EMERGE 2024 - INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION AND EXHIBITION

Congratulations to Leanne Trivett S.of Johnson City, TN for being selected to receive the $200 EMERGE Fellowship Award.

"TE AMO"

The series “Te Amo” is a collection of images that represents a love letter to Leanne's husband, Roderick, from a trip they took to Spain. They traveled to San Sebastián in the spring of 2024, and while taking in the luscious sunshine, they fell under the spell of the local culture, delectable food, and “tesoros” from the market. Enjoying the romance and passion of the area, Leanne photographed these lovely florals as intimate moments, to represent the amor and energy they were feeling in this vibrant city. It is a love letter to her husband and to the beautiful city of San Sebastián, Spain.

We feel strongly about providing this exhibition opportunity to emerging photographers, building an exhibition record is a major aspect of building a career in art photography. This fellowship opportunity is geared toward photographers looking to launch their art careers through the exposure of exhibition.

New this year we are offering the selected artists photographs for sale online, to view and make a purchase please visit www.mwcponline.com
