Except we did. It started in Kansas, where you literally cannot grow a cactus. So in 2003, Eric Carroll and his father-in-law Richard Turner decided to build one out of steel instead. A year later, Desert Steel was born, and 22 years later, we’re still making them, all by hand, all in Kansas. 🌵
