It's almost go time for Pull a Plane in Wichita...and we've added another element to this already exciting event: B-25 Yellow Rose will be on the ramp to serve as the kids pull event airplane, PLUS the warbird will be available for rides! We can't wait until Saturday!

The B-25 known as Yellow Rose has been added to the lineup for the 2026 B-29 DOC and WSU TECH Foundation Pull a Plane event.

SATURDAY UPDATE: Huntsville, AL -- we will open for ground and cockpit tours at 11 a.m. today.

SCHEDULE UPDATE: Because is affecting inland weather in , we are adjusting our flight schedule for tomorrow (Saturday). We are confident that weather conditions Saturday morning will be out of our operating limits regarding cloud ceiling (we need at least 1,500’ of ceiling) as well as gusty winds (forecast to be 30+ MPH). Further, the forecast suggests those conditions will persist most, if not all, of the day. Rather than have our passengers travel to the airport and wait all day for a no-fly decision, we are proactively rescheduling our flights from Saturday to Monday. SCHEDULE FOR SATURDAY, OCT. 10: Weather permitting, B-29 DOC will be on static display throughout the day on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

🗓️ Oct. 8 & 9: Ground and cockpit tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last ticket sold at 3:30 p.m.)
🗓️ Oct. 10 & 11: B-29 DOC ride flight operations at 9 and 10:30 a.m., ground and cockpit tours from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. (last ticket sold at 4 p.m.)
🎟️ $10 per person or $20 per family for ramp and cockpit access. Flight Experience pricing varies.

Meet Larry Silfies. His father, Forrest T. Silfies, served on Tinian as a bomb loader during World War II. It was an honor to meet Larry, his son, and his grandson in Allentown. During his visit, Larry presented the DOC team with his father's squadron patch, which will be added to our museum collection. 📷:

This is Stephen Brickman. He served on WB-50s in the late 1960s as a radio operator with the 54th Weather Reconnaissance Squadron. He logged more than 1,000 hours as a typhoon hunter and weather reconnaissance crew member. It was an honor to meet Stephen recently in Allentown and learn more about his service. 📷:
