Rise 'n Shine! Join us for Riverside Yoga and Zumba only May 9 through September 19. Meet at the Wichita Foundation Amphitheater every Saturday, weather permitting, to stretch, dance or just enjoy a fun start to your weekend. All ages and experience levels are welcome.

Craft Cinema season is looking pretty iconic with Steel Magnolias, Dirty Dancing and Fried Green Tomatoes all showing over the next couple of months.

Next up is Steel Magnolias, Tuesday June 23 at 5:30 pm with a make-and-take craft station, door prizes and plenty of space to work on your latest project while you watch. Get comfortable and enjoy a movie night where crafting is part of the experience.

Exploration Place is proud to participate in the Blue Star Museums program!

From Armed Forces Day through Labor Day (May 16 to Sept. 7, 2026), active-duty military personnel and their families receive FREE admission with a valid military ID.

Admission includes access to:

🛝 Adventure Playscape
🧪 Live science shows
🌌 Dome movies and laser shows

We’re also honored to offer year-round military and veteran discounts, including 10% off memberships, admission, Explore Store purchases and Snack Lab items with valid military ID or documentation.

A big thank you to the Textron summer interns for spending a few hours with us! 💙

Today, they rolled up their sleeves to help clean, sort and repackage thousands of ducks from the 2026 Wichita Duck Race so they'll be ready for next year's event.

Thanks to their hard work and teamwork, our ducks are safely stored away until it's time to race again!

This fall, Exploration Place will have 8 nights of free outdoor concerts at the Wichita Foundation Amphitheater thanks to a grant (that you all voted for!) from the Levitt Family Foundation. Mark your calendars for Thursday evenings in September and October. More information on the concert lineup will be announced later next month!

This June is the inaugural National Free Outdoor Concerts Month. Launched by the Levitt Family Foundation, this nationwide celebration invites people to enjoy the summer air and experience the power of free, live music with family, friends, and neighbors.
