This WEEKEND (Sept. 24-25) Fabulous Fundraiser event, every 15-minutes, something new is happening.

If you haven’t been to Old Cowtown Museum for a long time, this is a great event to bring your whole family down to. Oh….if you go to OldCowtown.org, you can get a full calendar year membership for one entire year at a discounted price.

With a Cowtown Membership, you can come to a special Members Only Night Friday 23rd, as well as the rest of the year. I hope you will be able to attend; I am Wichita Red, a River City Renegade gunfighter, Cowtown volunteer, and member of the Board of Trustees. I hope to see you at our Fundraiser event this weekend. Look for me, and stop by our Meat Market building to buy some raffle tickets. We have over 40+ items to choose from.

If you can make it at all and really try to. On September 15 at 11:30 be at old Cowtown Museum because at noon they want to film a gun fight for the brand new commercial that will be used for the museum for the next several years. So see if you can swing it into your schedule to be there at 11:30

September 24 & 25…Performers from Across the West are converging on Old Cowtown Museum to assist the museum with a FUNDRAISER. This will be the event you will not want to miss. When the gates open, there will be over 200 reenactors waiting to entertain you For two days, we will have performances occurring every 15-minutes. 20 American Legends telling their stories…folks such as Big Nose Kate, Buffalo Bill Cody, Bat Masterson, Charlie Goodnight, Pat Garrett, and Calamity Jane, just to mention a few. Vendors, both modern and historical, will be selling their wares. You will be able to purchase raffle tickets for extraordinary items to help with the fundraiser. Historical Demonstrations…hat-making, Buffalo Solider Camp, Chuckwagon (serving samples), musicians, and dancers are just a few of the surprises we have for you. The entire museum is filled with historical campsites, living historians, and, oh yes, horses, too. Shaken or Stirred will serve beer and wine. Pete’s Donut Shack has awesome funnel cake donuts. Get homemade goodness from Want Bierocks or yummy eggrolls from Vella Eggrolls. Nine Gunfight Performance Groups have driven in from all over to put on shows, and you can try out old west games of chance, see a magic show, watch the Can-Can dancers, and so much more Old Cowtown Museum is 23 acres of living history…historical buildings, real history, and loads of fun. This will be the Wild West Show of the Year…anywhere in America….it is the LARGEST Gathering of Historical Performers. PLUS, they have traveled to Wichita at no charge to the museum to assist in making the FUNDRAISER as great as it can be. Spread the word! Bring your family! Bring your Friends!
