Second EDIT: thanks to those who preordered, we were able to place a small second order. We wll have a very small number of these beautiful ornaments still for sale on a first come first serve basis. You can pre- pay tonight at the Sing Around the Tree event, 6:30-8ar the museum.

EDIT: We sold out of the ornaments. There is a possibility of getting a very more if we have enough prepaid orders to justify that. Ordering information is in a separate post.

Come see for yourselves! Our tree and our limited edition ornament are both amazing! Open house Friday, Dec 1. Music groups will be performing from 9:30- 2:30.

Seen McCormick lately?
We are really “getting it together” now. The limestone has been cleaned and the work of tuckpointing has begun. Old mortar is being removed and new mortar put in. Some of the individual stones are being repaired or replaced.

We need a tree for our annual Open House and to gather around for our evening of singing! Meta will be deactivating this fundraiser at 7 pm on October 31. It’s a meta (Facebook) thing, not our choice. You may still donate via mail. Address in comments.

Autumn is a lovely time to visit the museum. Stop by Sundays 2-5 or Wednesdays 9 til noon. It’s also a great time of year for repairs to be made to exterior of the 1890s building. You can see that in progress, too!

Know any kids complaining about having to start back to school in this heat? Back before air conditioning when classrooms had high ceilings and windows opened at the top and bottom to help circulate air, classrooms looked like this. Stop by for a visit and see for yourself. Open Sundays 2-5 and Wednesdays 9 - noon.

Look who came to visit! Wichita Mayor Brandon Whipple toured the building. Of course he rang the bell! You can ring the bell, too, when you come to visit.

What fun it was to welcome the 360 plus students, their music teachers, accompanists, parents, and other guests into the building today. If walls could talk,we’d likely be told how good it felt to have students in the building. Some former students stopped by too, to revisit childhood memories.

It’s not quite over. You can still stop by Saturday or Sunday from 2-5 to visit

We have been BUSY at McCormick preparing for our annual Christmas Open House, getting ready for you to come visit.
We have dusted, cleaned, swept, and polished. We have gone up and down ladders. We strung popcorn and cranberries galore. We went in search of a big beautiful tree. We think we found a good one. It is decorated and standing proudly just awaiting your admiration. The halls are decked and the cookies are being baked.
