2026 FIRE CITIZENS' ACADEMY | Do you have a burning desire to get an inside look at our fire department? The 2026 Fire Citizens' Academy is your chance to see what it takes to protect our community, meet our crews, and learn fire and life safety information.

Courses are a mix of classroom and hands-on activities. Topics include: fire service history, wildland firefighting, water rescue, EMS, vehicle extrication, and more!

Schedule:
- Wednesdays, March 11 - May 6, 6:00pm-9:00pm (note: class will not be held on March 25)
- Saturday, May 2, 9:00am-1:00pm, optional hands-on day

Santa and his decorated antique fire truck will be parked and waiting for your visit! Bring your letters for Santa, snap a family photo, and grab a candy treat.

The year was 1990 – Nelson Mandela was released, NASA launched the Hubble Space Telescope, and the movie Home Alone was released. It was also the year that 15 Westminster businesses opened their doors. Congratulations and thank you for serving Westminster for 35 years!
