It’s taken me a few days to really process this past weekends events. As many of you know, we were up at the Stowe Foliage & Arts Festival selling our art (our fourth year there)The show was off to a fantastic start, as many of you probably saw photos from the first day of the horse and dog sharing a drink from our Japanese Serenity fountain.

Early Saturday morning, a freak wind storm came off of the mountains, and the large event tent that housed over 100 art vendors, collapsed. These tents are designed to handle 80 mph winds, so this was a shock to everyone. As you’ll see from the pics, it was pure devastation we walked into that morning. Thankfully this all occurred around 6 am so no one was injured. Had this occurred during the event, there would have been injuries and likely deaths.

Lucky for us, we were set up outside of the tent, and aside from a loss of revenue, our art and set up were just fine. Not so for many of the other fellow artists.

I’m sharing a gofund me campaign that’s been set up by the producers to help the artists. While we have felt the financial pain from this, we have opted out of it as we feel our other fellow artists need the assistance way more than we do.
