Painting these construction trucks was so fun! I didn’t expect to love adding the shadows and highlights on the trucks as much as I did 🖤 I cannot wait to get these scanned and sent off to the sweet boy who wants to “be a construction” when he grows up 🖤

As artists- we get frustrated while seeking perfection.

While I’m not a pet portrait artist, I made this painting with every ounce of love in me - and that makes it perfect. Art is about sharing yourself with the world and those you love, and even giving them back pieces of themselves.

I may never paint another pet, but I’m glad I never gave up art when it wasn’t perfect because I would have never been able to paint this 🖤
