Rally your unit, pack your gear, and prepare for the BATTLE OF WHITE PLAINS 250th, one of the largest commemorative gatherings of America’s 250th anniversary!

Updated participant information is now available for the event, taking place October 23 through 25, 2026, at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation. The update includes a preliminary site-operations map and important details concerning registration, unit rosters, parking, transportation, water, sanitation, accessibility, civilian programming, and volunteer opportunities.

Participant registration will be open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Friday, October 23.

On-site participant parking is limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Carpooling is strongly encouraged, and shuttle service will connect more distant parking areas with the primary event grounds. Participants should prepare for considerable walking across changing terrain.

A 6,000-gallon water tank will be available, but participants should arrive with filled canteens and suitable containers for carrying water to camp. Anyone requiring ice for food storage or personal use should bring an adequate supply.

The attached preliminary map identifies the general locations of camps, registration, parking, water, sanitation facilities, merchants, artisans, and program areas. Additional tactical, traffic, parking, and scheduling information will follow.

Review the complete update carefully, share it with everyone in your unit, and get ready for an extraordinary weekend at White Plains!

Had a great time at Ft. McIntosh days. It’s too bad Sunday’s events were rained out, but we still had a good turnout. People learned a lot about the fort and how Ft. Pitt, Ft. McIntosh, and Ft. Laurens were all linked by the Great Trail and the 8th Pennsylvania.

Ft. McIntosh Days kick off tomorrow right here in Beaver, PA. Ft. McIntosh was built back in 1778 with the help of the 8th Pennsylvania, making it the first fort the Continental Army built north of the Ohio River. Being a member of the 8th PA makes it extra special to be here. We actually get to walk in the footsteps of the original unit.
