Camp Blodgett will be opening the Pigeon Creek Schoolhouse to the public on Sunday, June 8, 2025 from 11 am to 5 pm. They are joining with the "Historic Ottawa County Schoolhouse Tour". This event is free.

Dear Supporters of the Pigeon Creek One-Room Schoolhouse,

We want you to know that on April 19, 2024 the Society donated the Pigeon Creek Schoolhouse to Camp Blodgett. Camp Blodgett is also a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization and meets our mission. They will historically preserve and protect the Pigeon Creek Schoolhouse, use it primarily for education and have it, at times, available to the community.

The money from donations and our fundraisers will go into a special fund at Camp Blodgett for the preservation and protection of the Pigeon Creek Schoolhouse and will be open for future donations from supporters of the Pigeon Creek Schoolhouse.

On Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 2pm to 5pm, Camp Blodgett will be hosting an Open House to celebrate the transition of the Pigeon Creek Schoolhouse from the Pigeon Creek Schoolhouse Preservation Society to Camp Blodgett. We are inviting you to join us in celebrating the future of this special one-room schoolhouse!

We have valued your support over these many years (22!) and hope that you will understand the need for this action. It is a bitter-sweet time for us but it is the best future for the Pigeon Creek One-Room Schoolhouse.

The Pigeon Creek Schoolhouse Fall Festival turned out wonderful this year! The weather was great, partly sunny with occasion wild gusts of wind, making it a little exciting at times! The Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post #28 Honor Guard came and presented us with a new flag. The ceremony was beautiful! Thank you to the American Legion! And a BIG thank you to all the people who volunteered, participated, attended and donated! It was a great day!!! We appreciate your support! Thanks, again, to all!
