Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society The birthplace & boyhood home of
Noah Webster, Jr., the Father of American language. until 4 p.m.

The Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society is a not-for-profit museum and cultural destination where citizens can learn to understand and appreciate the past. The museum preserves the birthplace of Noah Webster, the founding father, educator, author and lexicographer who taught generations of Americans what it means to be American. This National Historic Landmark is also a repository for the history of West Hartford, the community that molded Noah Webster’s future and is still thriving over 250 years later. Pumpkins, history, and family fun are officially in season! 🎃✨

Join us today for the first day of our America’s Schoolmaster Series featuring Pumpkin Palooza at the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society!

When: Today from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
* Admission: Adults are $10, and all students 17 and under are FREE (Museum members are always free!)

Stop by to discover how 18th-century families preserved, dried, and cooked pumpkins before modern ovens and refrigerators, and try your hand at creating pumpkin artwork and taste some yummy “Three Sisters” soup in our 18th century reproduction hearth!
