You might also go check out Dr. Palmers mural he created yesterday for the large mural contest. We think he will win hands down.

From our founder Dr. Bob Palmer:

It is with mixed emotions I submit this Facebook post. The Red Dirt Art Gallery and Studio will be leaving Wellston and moving to the Capital Hill area probably in July or August of this year. We have been given an opportunity we just cant pass up. We seriously consider staying in Wellston even to the point of looking to buy both commercial and residential properties. However something just wasn't right about staying. And it's no ones fault.
After eating at the Grill on the Hill and meeting property owners there this seems like a good fit for us.
They need some time to fix up the place so our move will not be immediate. I know not all of my artists will move with me so I will be looking for additional artists to help with utilities and keeping the gallery open. We also will be expanding into antiques and repurposed items and furniture. We are excited about the new place just to the east of the Grill on the Hill on 25th street but we will miss our friends and colleagues here in Wellston. You have my murals all over town and I have to visit them from time time so I'm sure we will see each other again soon.
Until then ....happy trails. We dont want to take all of our art with us so come by before we leave and let's make a deal.

Respectfully......Bob Palmer

PM me if you have questions or know artists who might want to join us.
