New piece by Connie Scjmidt on our wall. "March Blast" takes us into winter with a snow shower. (Enjoy the fall weather while you can.) Connie's plein air pieces are done all through the year. Wouldn't a grouping of the four seasons be lovely!

"Shadows of Fall" is a beautiful fall scene, with a moody background. Makes me want to walk through the fallen, crunchy leaves. By Janet Fons. Oil on board.

Thank you Rocco Pink and all the people who gathered to hear his story at Grafica last evening. Rocco shared a lot about who he is and where his art springs from. We saw several of Rocco's works - and even an "unveiling" of "THE ENIGMA: Josephine Baker" (see video). Great evening!!

10/15/2026

Looking forward to seeing you this evening for our 3rd Thursday conversation. Digital artist, Rocco Pink, will have some of his art on display and talk about how he creates his art. I KNOW you're curious, so come learrn! See you tonight!

Rocco Pink's attention-grabbing art will be the topic of our 3rd Thursday next week (10/15 from 5:30 to 7:30). This piece is "THE NARRATOR: Truman Capote". Right now it's in our window -- but, Rocco may want us to move it into the gallery for his talk.

HEADS UP! As of last Monday, St. Louis County restriped the lanes on Big Bend - and eliminated the parking lanes. There is parking on two very-close-by lots: one across the street behind The Novel Neighbor and the other on our side of the street in front of Blue Dahlia. Don't let parking stop you from coming in!!

Ron Garnier's "Leaving Home" is back at Grafica! Come visit him -- or take his home!

"Winter Solstice" (framed). This original by Jane Maxfield is framed, shadow box style so the art could be top mounted and the deckled edges visible. You can get lost in Jane's work - it's the kind of art that you may see something different, or differently, every time. The kind of art that makes you pause and really "look".

Here's a great exmple of a frame enhancing art. Every year we do framing for Friends of Kids With Cancer. The art is created by cancer patients and their siblings -- most very young. There were lots of beads and glitter this year! This piece was painted on a canvas board (if memory serves me). In itself, it brings a smile to my face. Then, our framer selected framing and look what happens! Three mats, the top one is woven. What a wonderful setting this makes to show off this child's artwork.

Signed/numbered print called "Dezember" by Dagmar Mezricky. What a wonderful Christmas gift this would be for someone you know.

09/30/2026

This beautiful still life, called "Two Peonies" is by Marina Movshina. It's about life size, so it looks like like it's sitting right there on your shelf. I think I caught a hint of the peonies scent when I passed by!
