The Burnet Art Gallery, founded by Ralph Burnet in the Minneapolis' Chambers Hotel and for the past five years located in Wayzata will close following the exquisite exhibition of Bly and Rowan Pope. It is after 16 years that Ralph and Peggy Burnet will be retiring.

“It has been an honor to be a part of the thriving art community in Wayzata. We deeply appreciate the talented artists with whom we have had the pleasure of working. It is with gratitude and friendship we say goodbye to our colleagues and wonderful friends who have supported us through the years.”

“It is with deep gratitude that we thank Jennifer Phelps, who has been the Gallery Director since the beginning. She has brought exceptional artists and exhibitions to both locations. Thank you also to Alex Blaisdell for being the excellent Gallery Manager in Wayzata.”

We're pumped to be included in the first Twin Cities Art Week! Twin Cities Art Week is a celebration of the vibrant local contemporary art scene in 24 venues across Minneapolis and St. Paul. From October 12-16, the Twin Cities Art Week will offer a full calendar of events including a gallery crawl, live performances, exhibition walkthroughs, film screenings, artist talks, parties and more. Spearheaded by Dreamsong, the participants of Twin Cities Art Week include major institutions, small non-profit spaces, commercial galleries, artist-run spaces and university galleries dedicated to the presentation of contemporary art. ⁠
