Come see this set in person! The Strictly Functional Pottery National exhibit opening reception is Friday, Sept. 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lancaster Museum of Art (Demuth Museum) on Lime Street in Lancaster. I'll be there shaking hands. ;-) The exhibit runs from Sept. 19 to October 31.

My latest slab-constructed piece. This is a prototype for a box a friend asked me to make. It's 20" long so moving it around when still "floppy" was quite the challenge. I used a method learned in my Suze Lindsay workshop last fall to make the lid.

Last chance to see my work in the Maryland Federation of Art's "Off the Wall" show at Maryland Hall in Annapolis. The closing reception is this Saturday, August 15 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Come out and say "hi" and see all the work!

Successful first bisque firing in the new kiln (two test firings first). I’m on a roll now!

The first time I saw the piece on the far left in a gallery, I was surprised at how small it looked . . . so I went bigger! And, now, on the far right is the start of even BIGGER. Each size shift brings additional construction challenges!

Well . . . it seems I'm not the only one who likes this piece. It was just accepted into the Maryland Federation of Art Off the Wall exhibit at the Maryland Hall's Earl Gallery!

This piece has been on display at Gallery 50 in Waynesboro for the last year. I brought it home yesterday and find I am liking it more than I did. That's a good sign. I may submit this to a show or two in the future.
