Wauwatosa Historical Society

Wauwatosa Historical Society In 1987, the Wauwatosa Historical Society purchased a stately Victorian house, a coach house, and 1,5 acres of gardens and grounds.

The Wauwatosa Historical Society's mission is to serve the greater Wauwatosa community by facilitating historical educational engagement and experiences that spark curiosity and dialogue to foster a deeper understanding to inform our present and future. The Kneeland-Walker House is now being used for various educational programs, preservation work, archival storage, artifact displays, and community events. This treasure stands as one of Wauwatosa's greatest community assets.

For decades, Wauwatosa's most ambitious history book was simply... gone. Local historian Ed Wilkommen spent years filling a manuscript with maps, notes, and research, and then it vanished.

Join us Tuesday, September 15 as Carol Rosen tells the story of how that lost manuscript was rediscovered, pieced together, and finally published as The History of Wauwatosa. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the talk begins at 6:00 p.m.

The Speaker Series is free, but seats are limited, so please RSVP to save yours: https://wauwatosahistoricalsociety.org/event/the-lost-book-of-wauwatosa/

Bonus: Copies of The History of Wauwatosa will be available for purchase at the event.

Thank you to our 2026 Speaker Series sponsor, Realty Group of Keller Williams.

🍺 PROST! We need a few Oktoberfest sponsors! πŸ₯¨

We added Brews & Blooms: Oktoberfest to the calendar this year, which means we also added an entire weekend of expenses that weren’t part of our original Brews & Blooms budget or sponsorships.

A bigger tent. Live bands. Food. Equipment. And all the little things it takes to turn the Kneeland-Walker grounds into an Oktoberfest beer garden.

With September 18 & 19 coming up quickly, we’re looking for local businesses who want to jump in and help us make this new weekend a great one!

Sponsorships start at just $250, with opportunities to sponsor the Biergarten, Festzelt, or even one of our live bands.

🎢 Sponsor a band. Fuel the fun.
🍻 Get your business in front of the community.
🏑 Support the Wauwatosa Historical Society.

Swipe through to see the sponsorship opportunities, then message us or email [email protected] to claim yours.

And yes, sponsors get drink tickets. πŸ˜‰

Good beer. Good music. Good company. Prost! 🍻
