Happy happy garden chair and yard art that I painted today for

This challenge has been just the dose of joy I’ve needed during a big transition. Thank you so much Jill and all the artists posting. I’ve loved seeing everyone’s creativity in my feed.

I haven’t posted much these last two weeks, but we have had lots of showings and our home was staged, and I had to be out of the house a lot. 😍 We have an accepted offer on our house! 🥳 We will be packing up our house these next few weeks to start a new adventure in an old house about fifteen minutes from here. It has a sun porch, lots of charm, and a room to paint in.

Before I start filling boxes, I wanted to express all the feels I have about our new move. 🌼

Nya Loves Poems and Short Stories written by B.S. Hoeppner and pictures by me and Susan Campbell is now available as a beautiful large hardcover on my website, and a paperback on Amazon. It’s so fun to see it in print. I have a link in my stories. 😍🫶

It’s such a wonderful feeling when you look up at the painting you did of your irises while having your morning tea, and then look outside to see the irises that are in the painting all opened up last night. 😍💛 Happy Sunday.

For , I’m off to a giant flea market today to find collage supplies and who knows!!! All the amazing collages I’m seeing are so inspiring! Eeeek.

Here’s a mini studio tour for I’m helping paint walks and clean our house which is getting photographed today and on the market on Tuesday. I’m excited about this happy to do… start a new painting. 😍

A little studio tour before showings. The last two days for I’ve been helping Katie, who has been staging our house to go on the market. We hung artwork in all the rooms, and she asked me to start a new painting in the space when I told her that our home is the happiest when I’m painting in it. 😍 I’m so glad for the FUN to dos.

Creativity wandered into the front garden today. 🌿✨
Yesterday’s painted little stool found its home beneath a pot overflowing with blooms, color, and sunshine. I love when art slips outside the studio and becomes part of everyday life 🪴tucked between flowers, brick paths, and spring light.

This tiny corner now feels like a cheerful welcome before you even step through the front door. 💛

Today’s joyful little project for ✨🌿

An old step stool became a colorful plant stand for the front garden. I painted it slowly in the studio this afternoon 💙 adding stripes, dots, zigzags, and all the happy colors that felt like spring finally settling in.

I love giving ordinary objects a second life. Sometimes creativity doesn’t need to be serious to be meaningful. Sometimes it’s just color, sunlight through the window, paint on your hands, and making something that makes you smile every time you walk past it. 💛

Now to decide what plant gets to live on top… 🌱

Happy Mother’s Day. 💕

I’m so grateful for these three girls who made me a mom, and for all the color, creativity, imagination, dancing, painting, dress-up, clay, stories, and joy they brought into my life along the way.

Now all three of them are studying art, which feels a little bit like watching seeds bloom into their own gardens. 🌱✨

There’s a quote by artist Phyllis Diller that always stayed with me:
“Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing is like shoveling the walk before it stops snowing.”

I definitely chose the paint, the mess, the making, the peanut butter sandwiches, and the memories. ❤️

Cheering on all the mothers today, especially the creative ones trying to hold beauty and chaos in the same hands.

Before painting gardens for the children’s book today, I painted a butterfly for my own front garden instead. 🦋✨
A tiny 20 minute burst of joyful creative expression for . Swipe left to see the butterfly. 💕🎶

Then Adriaan hung one of my collaged paintings on the porch, and suddenly I was dreaming in plants again… ferns spilling over the edges, velvety coleus, maybe coral bells, trailing vines, and flowers that look like they belong inside a storybook. 🌿🌸

I love how creativity seems to wander from the studio into the garden and back again.
