The Wattsburg Area Historical Society is hosting a couple events beginning in November.
1st...Election Day Bake Sale at the Wattsburg Borough Hall on Main Street Tuesday, November 3rd from 8am until goods are gone. Need bakers and buyers.
2nd...Holiday Gift Card Raffle..tickets are $10 and go on sale in November. Only 250 will be sold!!! There will be a drawing every day in December for a $25 gift card to numerous businesses. On the 24th it will be a $50 card and on Christmas Day and New Years Eve it will be a $100 card each day. If you win on one day, your ticket will be returned to the drawing so you can win more than once!!! $10 for 31 chances to win.
We are looking for people willing to donate some gift cards or gift certificates. Contact Tina Canfield at 814-392-7163 to donate.

My Dad, Pfc. Raymond F. Tanner served in the Army National Guard from 1959 to 1963. He trained at Ft. Benning, Georgia. Thought I'd share some rare photos of him without his beard. He didn't grow it until after my brother was born in 1976. Most people remember him looking like Santa Claus (which he did actually do for many years). People also usually remember him for the homes he built and Country Cookin' Restaurant in Wattsburg during the 1980s and 1990s. Miss you Dad!
