We are spending hours getting photographs ready for Veterans Day.
We use pictures that were donated , pictures from yearbooks, and pictures from newspapers and scrapbooks, to create the video that we will play on November 11th.
Thanks to improved picture editing programs, many of the newspaper clippings that were badly worn and yellowed, are coming to life. (There are a few I couldn't use, however, because they will not edit or distort the subject)
This year there are over 700 pictures of local veterans. We often hear "Can we get a copy of our relative's picture?" Absolutely! We can email them easily.
We are working in conjunction with the Watsontown American Legion to create a database for local veterans of any era. So if you are a veteran or are related to a veteran, we would love to add any pictures or info to our files.
We do it to honor our veterans and for their families.
