⭐️ Jump in, help in areas that interest you
5) What do you like most about being a Board Officer?
⭐️ Participating in the preservation and development of this local treasure
6) What has been your greatest achievement as a volunteer?
⭐️ Taking an initiative with barely a heartbeat and developing in into a community attribute (this is regarding another organization).
7) What makes the Bellefontaine House unique?
⭐️ I agree with Andrew, the park-like setting, and the ability of the community to preserve such important landmarks for such a long period of time.
8)Why is it important to preserve this historical site?
⭐️ That is a very long answer in my head; cliff notes: Waterloo is so lucky to have such impressive historical sites preserved for current and future generations. It shows us where we came from and how much has developed since the beginning.
9) Who Inspires you?
⭐️ The historical society of Boone County, Warren Buffett, Samuel Clemens
10) What is something that people would be surprised to find out about you?
⭐️ I have jumped out of perfectly fine airplanes, I am a 5th Great Granddaughter of Captain James Moore
11) Favorite food?
⭐️ Pop Prisco's Red Sauce at Christmas
12) What is your connection to Waterloo, IL / Monroe County?
⭐️ Welllll, I live in St. Charles and have lived in St. Louis most of my life, I just found out two years ago that I was a descendant of the leader of the first American settlement (Bellefontaine) in Illinois. Needless to say, I am invested.😉
