A magnet for unbridled creativity and a vibrant events destination in its own right. Blind Whino is transitioning to Culture House, a place dedicated to creating spaces for community and shining a spotlight on local culture, all in the name of redefining Washington, D. C. for a new generation.
In the coming months we'll become 'Culture House', introducing new events, hosting residencies for local businesses, showcasing internationally relevant art collections and upgrading the facility so that we can continue to be a go-to destination for private events in DC.
Culture House officially launches in Spring 2019 as a collective of creatives across all artistic mediums - visual, musical, food, and performance. Until then, we'll still host our usual gallery hours and events.

With over 15,000+ square feet of space dedicated to community-based arts programming alongside notable art institutions and organizations, multiple rooms to host cultural and corporate events and activities, CULTUREHOUSE DC will continue its mission to be an accessible arts environment with multiple experiential opportunities to enhance your cultural palette. Housed in the historic Friendship Baptist Church, built in 1886, the facade showcases an eclectic use of Victorian and Romanesque architectural styles combined with Gothic Revival and Queen Anne elements. The facility was re-imagined in October 2012 by artist HENSE and later re-purposed in August 2013 as Blind Whino. We will continue to serve as the city's most hidden gem in the arts and cultural community and truly provide our gallery space for all.
